Pack closing force is applied on one end where as a filter pack is supported on two parallel tie bars. Mother liquor is fed with solids and liquids through feeding nozzle of the filter press applying a filter pump. Filter press leads the solids in liquids to the chamber formed between the plates and the medium leaving the solids pressed inside and liquid flows out. There is the formation of a cake which falls down once the pack is opened.
